Fiftyfive5 took home Research Organisation of the Year 2020- 21 at The Research Society awards on Thursday. This Award recognises organisations that make a difference to the research, insights and analytics sector.

“People are at the heart of our business success, so awards are a great opportunity to reflect and celebrate the great work each and every one of our 140+ team do on behalf of our clients” said Darren Kemp, Founding Partner.

The agency also picked up Highly Commended Research Effectiveness Award for work with the University of Otago. Through exploring perceptions of the University, combined with a deep understanding of the target audience, Fiftyfive5 unearthed a powerful set of insights that led to the University of Otago increasing applications, market share and revenue; demonstrating a clear link between insight and client growth.

“As the largest independent agency in Australia we see it as our responsibility to help grow the reputation of the industry – by showcasing how research drives outcomes for our clients,” said Darren Kemp.

The agency was also awarded Best Young Presenter at the Human insight conference, with Emma Hetherington picking up the award for her work on the wicked problem of climate change. Working with the Sunrise Project, Fiftyfive5 created a segmentation which developed a common language across the climate change movement and a framework for effective message development for each of the segments identified.
The outcomes have since been used by multiple organisations across the private and public sectors.
